When an Indiana woman went to Kroger to pick up her son’s birthday cake, she discovered it had been paid for by a stranger.

Carolyn Mick was informed the cake had already been paid for by an unknown woman who had left a note when she arrived at the Plainfield Kroger.

The note read as follows:

“Today is my son’s 35th birthday. It is his fifth in heaven. I wanted to honor and remember him by paying it forward. May you make tons of precious memories to remember for a lifetime. God bless you and yours – Tyler’s Mom.”

Carolyn thanked Tyler’s mother in a Facebook group called Town of Plainfield Chatter.

“Dear Toni.. you know who you are and I want to express how moved I am. This means so much that my husband and I cried together. With the turmoil of things going on it reminds us of what really matters LIFE!” she wrote.

Residents in the Facebook community reacted overwhelmingly positively to the touching message.
