After seeing an injured hawk hopping around State Route 77 in Oro Valley, an Arizona State Trooper rescued the creature.

Trooper Perrin used his raincoat to gently catch it and position it in the back of his patrol vehicle after coaxing it out of the traffic lanes.

The hawk was transported to the Tucson Wildlife Center by Perrin.

“The hawk is doing well and healing from a broken wing,” the Tucson Wildlife Center reported on May 17.

“Once he’s completely rehabilitated he will be released back into the wild.”
