In South Carolina, twin sisters gave birth minutes apart in the same hospital, in opposite rooms.

Caroline Giguere and Candice Hipp were both born within minutes of each other. The sisters grew up next door to each other and now live across the street.

Even though they were in different rooms during delivery, the twins used FaceTime to keep in touch.

“We talked multiple times,” Caroline said. “We got to the point of ‘how far along are you? Well, how far along are you?'”

Caroline’s husband said that the friendly rivalry included even the nurses.

On May 5, at 4:43 p.m., Edson “Gray” Giguere was born. Louise Springs Hipp, his cousin, was born at 5:18 p.m., and they were both delivered by the same doctor.
